I was invited to a very interesting Lunch and Learn with Gettysburg College– with Gail Sweezey, Director of Admissions and Desvan Moody, the Admissions Rep for Connecticut.
We had great conversations about what is new and important at Gettysburg –Interdisciplinary programs are very popular as well as the Eisenhower Institute– their unique policy institute for undergraduate students. They are a campus of “doers”; their students want to put their learning into practice.
Gettysburg takes its “sense of place” seriously. They are very close to the battlefields where Democracy was fought for.
When I toured the campus, we were treated to a tour of Gettysburg Battlefield by one of their History majors who was extremely knowledgeable about the battles fought here.
