Day #1: We got on the bus at 7 AM and drove to Stockton University. We had a great session from Admissions and toured their main campus–Galloway. They are joined by the Undergraduate Exercise Science Students, The graduate DPT students, the graduate Occupational Therapy students and more.
We also toured the soon to be opened Atlantic City Campus. Here is the residence hall, still under construction – with an amazing view of the ocean! We were warmly greeted by the Mayor of Atlantic City, Frank Gilliam, a proud Stockton University alum!
From there we went to Rowan University and were treated to a wonderful presentation in their planetarium as well as a meeting with the admissions administrators and tour of the campus.
Last stop- Rider University. We had a student panel, presentations by admissions, and a tour of the campus.
We returned to the hotel at 10 PM!

Day #2: Another early start and we were off to Fairleigh Dickinson University. We had a presentation from their Admissions team and were the first to hear that FDU will offer a “Test Optional” admissions choice for the High School Class of 2019. The details will be on their website soon. We toured the campus, including “The Mansion”. FDU in Florham is on the former Twombly-Vanderbilt estate.
Stop Two: Rutgers University. We had a very informative admissions session and had our questions answered by a terrific student panel. Then a bus tour of the five campuses that make up the Rutgers New Brunswick Campus: “One community, five campuses”. We also had a very impressive presentation by the Career Services Department and learned how early they engage their students.
We wrapped up day #two, college #three at Seton Hall University. A lot of exciting things happening at Seton Hall! They have a new Medical School and their first class just had their “White Coat Ceremony”. Then off on the campus tour and a large and impressive student panel that shared their stories—where they are from, their majors, and most importantly, why they chose Seton Hall.

This is a very impressive university in an urban setting, right near the Newark campus of Rutgers University, Essex County College and the University of Medicine and Dentistry. We had a great time seeing all of the amazing machines in their brand new “Maker Space”. Here students will use state of the art equipment to make products to solve real world problems.
