I spent a few days in Brevard County, Florida, home of NASA, Cocoa Beach and, of course, colleges.
I toured the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College, formerly Brevard Community College. Eastern Florida State has four campuses– Melbourne, Cocoa, Titusville and Palm Bay and now offers Bachelor’s and Associate’s degrees in several areas. They offer dual enrollment with some local high schools and also have some articulation agreements with the University of Central Florida.
I also toured Florida Institute of Technology. Lots of new things going on at this college. In addition to top notch Engineering and Marine Biology majors, they also offer Forensic Psychology and have an Autism Center on campus.
If this building looks familiar, it is because it is designed to be a (smaller) version of the VAB– the Vehicle Assembly Building on NASA.
