I spent two days on the campus of Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, where they have “Education at the Speed of Life”. Block classes: one course at a time for 18 days followed by a few days off, 8 Blocks a year. We had dinner with the President, Faculty and Admissions Officers and the next day toured the campus, sat in on classes, met with the support staff, asked questions of our student panel and really got to know Cornell College.
Students here can view the “Block Clock” in the library. They say whatever the class, you can make it through 18 days!
This demonstration kitchen was part of a newly renovated dorm on campus. Very Impressive!
