I spent a full day on the campus of Berry College in Georgia. A tremendous thank you to my friend, Fred Tharpe, a member of their Board of Trustees, who picked me up at the hotel at 7 AM and arranged for an amazing tour and meetings with many wonderful administrators and students at Berry. We had lunch with the President of Berry and we were able to tour the Oak Hill Campus and the Martha Berry Museum. Berry’s philosophy of Applied Liberal Arts was evident throughout.
Here on the Berry Farm, we saw the Blue Hens that produce eggs for sale. They also sell crops and meat and beautiful items students make on the looms. Student run and produced.
