I attended the NACAC National Conference in Boston last week. There were well over 7,000 attendees- Independent Educational Consultants, College Admissions Officers, School Counselors from Public, Private, Parochial and Boarding Schools and Vendors. Lots of Vendors–from those like The Common Application, ACT and the College Board to all kinds of tech companies with data management tools for the colleges.
And the largest college fair I have ever attended—Connecticut was well represented by their public and private universities. I stopped at hundreds of tables and spoke with their college admissions reps. There were also pre-conference college tours and workshops as well as Educational Sessions- 7 Educational Session time slots with 104 sessions from which to choose! It was exhausting, but very worthwhile—I always learn something new.
